The Eric Chase Fund for Leukemia & Transplant Research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute is focused on supporting the medical research of the two doctors who treated Eric at the Dana Farber and the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston:
Dr. Richard Stone and Dr. Vincent Ho
Dr. Ho's current research focuses on using a therapeutic cancer vaccine in conjunction with a stem cell transplant for patients with AML Leukemia. He has completed a Phase I clinical trial of a cancer vaccine with encouraging results. The Eric Chase Fund will help Dr. Ho complete Phase II of the clinical trial. This essential medical research will help people all over the world who suffer with cancer, as well as advance our understanding of the biology & mechanism of cancer.
Eric was a warm vibrant 21 year old young man. He was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in December 2011 and died of complications of a stem cell transplant on June 28, 2012. Team Eric honors Eric's spirit through personal challenges and community efforts to support medical research.
